Karrier Connected Monthly Recap: Edition #2 — December/Yearly Recap 2023

Welcome to the second issue of Karrier Connected, our monthly digest dedicated to sharing the latest and greatest from us at Karrier One. This December has been busy for us behind the scenes, finalizing a massive partnership that will be announced in the near future. In the meantime, let’s recap on what we’ve accomplished in 2023.

Q1 2023: First Gatekeeper Deployments, First PR Releases, License Acquisitions

In February, we successfully deployed our first Gatekeeper Nodes with First Nations Cable.

This proved to be the first of many deployments, as we will cover later. We also received our very first press release on Yahoo Finance.

To cap off Q1, we began to initiate the process of applying for licenses with the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and the Kenyan Communications Authority.

Q2 2023: ConnectX23, Indigenous Connectivity Summit, Osoyoos Deployment & IMS Core Acquisition

Q2 of the year was busy for us, beginning with our CEO Samer Bishay speaking at the ConnectX23 expo in New Orleans. We showcased some information about what Karrier One can offer, as well as connected with other panelists. We also released our first Medium article!

Soon after, Karrier One sponsored the ICS2023 Connect Fund summit. As one of our key missions to help service the digital divide in remote areas, of course we would sponsor the Indigenous Connectivity Summit!

Our next major deployment came a week after the ICS2023 summit, in Osoyoos, British Columbia. This would be the first of many times we would reach Osoyoos in 2023. As well as expanding our coverage, we acquired our IMS Core a few days afterwards.

Q3 2023: Major Conference Presence, Whitepaper 2.0, More Deployments, Dashboard Update

Q3 was a super busy time for us. In July, we spent our time developing a brand new whitepaper and beginning to upgrade our presence on social media. We nearly tripled our followers on Twitter/X in Q3!

Karrier One’s Engagement Growth

Our new Whitepaper overhauled how the Karrier One network will function, with the KONE DAO being the brain of it all, powered by the KONE token. Funnily enough, we will be revamping it again in the coming weeks after a new major announcement.

The first conference we attended in Q3 was the Blockchain Futurist Conference, in Toronto. We met a lot of great people there, and we also held our own private networking event!

While we were still in Ontario, the team deployed in Ajax, right off of Highway 401.

Two weeks after Futurist, Samer spoke at the Osoyoos NABOC on September 6th, while the rest of the team went to San Francisco for the first DePIN Summit, hosted by EV3 Ventures.

These conferences were amazing, as they were very intimate and amazing connections were made. We connected with some amazing leaders at the DePIN summit, as well as other DeWi projects. But in quick succession, the team was off to Singapore for TOKEN2049.

TOKEN2049 was a blast. We attended the R3ALWORLD event hosted by the IoTeX team, as well as connected with some amazing minds in blockchain.

If you thought our world tour of attendance was over, it isn’t. Right after Singapore, the team traveled to Dubai to attend TheCryptoExpo, as well to host our own private yacht event.

We didn’t just travel and network though. We continued to develop the Karrier One network and Karrier One Dashboard, and successfully deployed in Matane, Quebec!

The Karrier One Dashboard was updated as well this quarter. Mobile users to telecom operators can access and manage their telecom features.

Q3 was explosive for us, we made some invaluable connections, and continued to develop our infrastructure at the same time.

Q4: Future Blockchain Summit (GITEX), COP28, United States MCC/MNC, IoTeX Integration, Karrier Connected, PNS Revamp, New Website

Dubai again! We began Q4 by presenting at the Future Blockchain Summit in Dubai! Samer had an insightful presentation, expanding our global presence.

After GITEX, we returned to Dubai for COP28UAE, discussing synergies on how to connect the world. Samer presented yet again, as a panelist, discussing Cross-border Collaboration through Decentralized Wireless.

As we explained in the first edition of Karrier Connected, we also received our United States MCC / MNC from ATIS. For more information, click here!

Simultaneously, we partnered with IoTeX and W3bstream to integrate the Karrier One network into W3bstream’s DePINscan. More on that here.

And now, we’re here! We have launched our new website, which can be viewed here. A month ago we released our first edition of Karrier Connected, and recently we have also revamped our planned Phone Number System (PNS), changing it into KNS (Karrier Number System). More info on this to come in 2024.

Conclusion: What’s next for 2024?

We can’t say too much now, but we are inches away from the biggest announcement we have ever had!

Expected an brand new roadmap, explosive growth, as well as a launch of our token sale & KNS beta in early-mid 2024. More detailed info to come.

We’d like to personally thank you for sticking with us this year. It has been an amazing year for us, but 2024 will blow it away. Thank you for reading, and we will see you next month.

Happy New Year!
